Ember Drift

Ember Drift opens the Electric Bloom series — a slow movement of heat across near-black. Bands of ember orange and magenta slide over charcoal like the last light leaving a market street.

It was painted from memory of winter bonfires on the Lisbon waterfront, when the smoke hung low and every ember seemed to pause before rising.
